What a wondeful weekend we had! Nana and Grandpa, Bee and Doc, me and Galen and Jack make seven! Jack literally seemed delighted to have the grands here, and constantly smiled throughout the weekend.
Bee stayed with Jack last night while Galen and I went to Ten Tables in JP. It was wonderful to spend some time together, and enjoy one of the best burgers we've ever had. It was "Beerger Monday" there, so we also got a pint of beer each that came with the burger. So good!
*2 weeks ago:
OT just left, and I am feeling so proud of Jack. It was their impression that he continues to do very well, and that he was lifting and holding his head up even better than a week ago. During the session, he became upset. We had him on his back a good bit playing with some toys, and he was tired of that activity. He looked over to where I was, with his bottom lip sticking out so far (I love it! So cute - even if he's telling me he's mad), and when we made eye contact, he calmed down. He has never done that before. He also produced and imitated a good "oooo" and "naaa" sound with me. I feel like he is doing so well.
*Today:
Finally, a little moment from ths morning that I want to hide in my heart, and never forget...
It was 6:58 when I rolled over and noticed the time and realized that my baby hadn't cried for us yet. I panicked and hurried to his room, quiet as a mouse. I crept though his door and peeked over the crib railing. He saw me immediately, and up his little legs went, over his belly. "Dee!" he exclaimed. I have no defense when faced with such cuteness.
We're doing alright, yall. God is good to us.
Love,
Kristen

Kristen, little Jack is growing so! He's just adorable. Lots of love to you three.
ReplyDeleteJulian has now got two teeth, but there sure was a lot of moaning/runny nose/slight fever this weekend in order to get that second one out. :-)
